About Me

I'm a PhD student at UIUC, working with Prof. Andrew Miller.

I am most interested in secure and private identity on the internet. Identity is a multifaceted problem, including applications ranging from users identifying each other on encrypted messaging apps (see my work on key-transparency), to financial applications gathering customer data for legal compliance and fraud prevention (see, for example, CanDID).

My research methodology uses traditional (applied) cryptography, decentralized systems and the interplay between them. The tools I work with include verifiable and secure computation (such as SNARKs, MPC and their applications), with an eye towards building scalable infrastructure to support identity solutions.
